Mimi Mariam Diarra
Mimi Mariam Diarra holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa. During her university career, she was involved in the student community in various ways, including as President of the Black Civil Law Students’ Association of the University of Ottawa – Civil Law Section and as a third-year student representative within the Civil Law Students’ Association of the University of Ottawa. In addition, she has the opportunity to participate in the debate contest
The Julius Alexander Isaac Moot
focused on issues of equity and diversity; and, being the recipient of an Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (URRP) award from the Centre for Associated Research Experiment at the University of Ottawa.
The lawyer solidified her knowledge in criminal matters by working as a paralegal student at the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions in Gatineau. Subsequently, she articled at the Centre communautaire juridique de Montréal I Laval and entered the profession in March 2024. Currently, Mr. Diarra focuses his practice on criminal law and youth law. She pleads before municipal courts, the Court of Québec and the Superior Court. Her sense of integrity, judgment and work ethic allow her to adequately defend her clients. This is accompanied by his desire to help others and his willingness to stand up for the most fundamental values of Canadian society.
Fun-fact external to the law: His mother passed on to him her great passion for plants, Me Diarra currently owns 10 indoor plants, and is trying to grow his first avocado plant (the evolution remains to be seen…)
