Katerie-N’Drin Lakpa
Katérie Lakpa holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a specialization in international relations and a master’s degree in public international law. Her dissertation project focused on the sexual violence perpetrated during the 2010 Ivorian crisis and its aftermath. More broadly, his research has focused primarily on human rights in West Africa. After several stays abroad, notably with human rights NGOs, she chose to return to Quebec to undertake a bachelor’s degree in law, which she will begin in the fall of 2024 at the Université de Montréal.
At the same time, she has been involved as a project manager for the Saint-Michel Legal Clinic since 2023. In particular, she co-coordinated public consultations as part of the Canada’s Black Justice Strategy. Most recently, she co-organized the charity comedy show at the Clinique juridique de Saint-Michel at the Olympia in Montreal.
Fun fact: Katerie is very afraid of flying, despite everything, she has traveled to about fifteen countries and continues to explore the world every year.
