Mamy Diouma Sow
Mamy Diouma Sow is a student in civil law and international development at the University of Ottawa. Originally from Senegal and raised in the Pointe-aux-Trembles neighbourhood of Montreal, she stands out for her deep commitment to social and climate justice.
From the age of 14, she was actively involved in large-scale projects aimed at supporting people experiencing homelessness, promoting food security and raising awareness of environmental issues. Her determination and sense of initiative make her a recognized agent of change.
Currently Vice-President of Community Affairs for the Black Civil Law Students’ Association (2024-2026 term), Mamy was honoured with the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal in recognition of her exceptional commitment to youth.
His leadership is distinguished by unwavering integrity, a great ability to adapt and remarkable perseverance.
Fun fact: passionate about snakes since childhood, she dreams of one day adopting a ball python (Python regius).
